When a user is disabled/deleted in Samanage, they are still used in processes for notifications and approvals. This can cause items such as Change Catalog Items to be stuck in limbo. In a worst case this can lead to notifications being sent to an unauthorized account.
Today to remove that user, you will need to manually walk through every object that has a process and remove that user from any actions. This can be a huge effort if utilizing the Service Catalog and Change Catalog. At this time I'm not sure what other user artifacts are enabled (such as category default assignee).
It would be great if the following could happen when a user is disabled:
- The manager (or user in "Reports To") field is notified of any processes the user was a part of
- If no manager, then a ticket is opened for record keeping
- The user is removed from all processes
