Pin down or lock data fields for new assets

-When entering new assets there need to be "Pins", so you can pin down or lock information to be the same for multiple new devices. This would allow the same location, type, or any other details to remain unchanged when saving one asset and continuing to the next. We get shipments of items at a time and having to reselect each field for each new item is too time intensive. This would improve performance for all users of the Asset management system. Please add

It might be easier to use the import template in Excel and populate the fields and then import it when finished that is how we do our large/bulk shipments.

This adds just as many steps as does reselecting the fields, only difference you can copy and paste. We use a barcode scanner to enter the serial number of the device and we would have to go through adding macros or something to excel to make adding it to the template just as easy for all the dropdowns. I don't believe that you should ever have to use another program to assist in doing something the main program can do.
