Remove the "Request Detail" field on main Help Request page

Although, the "Request Detail" field serves a purpose once a client chooses a Request Type. At this point the field has no purpose.

You can’t type in it you can’t do anything with it, it serves no purpose. Is it just there for decoration?

Myself, my clients and Administration feel it is confusing and pointless.

Maybe this space could be used for some basic instructions or other information?

We can hide the request details field for particular request types, that is what we are doing for now

Procedure :

Setup -> Tickets -> ABC (Request Type) -> Uncheck the Hide Request Details check box.

I would like to remove the "Request Detail" field from main "Help Request" area before choosing a "Request Type"

This seems to cause some confusion for my end users. Although, by the time this "Feature Request" makes any movement I could "train" my end users that this is a POINTLESS field until you select a Request Type.

Yep I agree. On the arrival page it is completely pointless and confusing. I've seen clients attempt to type in the fields even though they are greyed out.

The subject and request detail fields shouldn't be visible until a request type is selected. As you suggest I'd also like to have the ability to add an instructional note in this area. "Please select a request type..."
