One of the guys in my department came up with this idea and I thought it was worth submitting... Today we have an option on the Active Alerts List webpage to "CLEAR TRIGGERED INSTANCE OF ALERT". When used, it simply removes the Alert from the All Active Alerts list and as soon as the Alert Definition realizes the situation…
I'm using the out of the box "All active alerts" report but the AcknowledgedNote does not work, it's always blank. Is acknowledgedNote the comment you type when acknowledging an alert or is it someting else? If you acknowledge an alert, does it disable all actions or only trigger actions? SELECT DISTINCT…
Is the Alerts page the only place on the web console where you can acknowledge alerts, add notes, and be able to see the acknowledgements and notes? There is an Active Alerts resource, but it does not seem to do any of this. All it does is show the alerts, but you can't even tell if an alert has been acknowledged. Is there…
In regards to acknowledge alerts- once the alert is reset the acknowledgement note is deleted. It might be an idea to stop the acknowledgment note from being deleted, so we can look at the historical notes and actions taken to resolve it.
Please change the timing of when the alert file is updated during the acknowledge process when clicking on the Acknowledge URL from an alert's email message. Today it appears to be updating it as soon as you click on the link, not giving time to enter an acknowledgement note. See issue described in…
I have activated the basic alert for "last boot" for nodes. When it is triggered the alerts do show up in the "active alerts" window that I have on the web page. Is there anyway I can clear these alerts? In the events window when I try to acknowledge them the box is grayed out unable mark it.
I recently implemented the use of the Acknowledge feature for Advanced Alerts. Everything is working great. However, I'm having a hard time tracking who acknowledged alerts after the alert has been reset. As far as I can tell, no event is created when an alert is acknowledged. Has anyone else run into this problem? Is it…
I apologize if this has been covered already but I couldn't find it in the forums. I am testing out the new feature in 10.1 where you can have an acknowledge link in the alert e-mail and found that it works properly but it uses the server name in the URL. This works great internally but not so much for our after-hours…
