Basic Alert Clearing/Acknowldegement

I have activated the basic alert for "last boot" for nodes. When it is triggered the alerts do show up in the "active alerts" window that I have on the web page. Is there anyway I can clear these alerts? In the events window when I try to acknowledge them the box is grayed out unable mark it.

So you want to acknowledge alerts from the web right? You should be able to do this, what version are you running?

We are running NPM 9.5 SP3. I'm able to acknowledge advanced alerts on the web, but the basic alert that i enabled "last boot" alerts are grayed out when trying to acknowledge them.

Also when I open the Network Permormance monitor and go to "Alerts." there are 2 tabs basic and advance. For advance there is option to clear alerts but basic there is none.

Did you ever get this figured out? I've had this problem with all the versions, I'm now running the Orion Core 2010.1 SP1 and NPM 10 SP1 and I still can't acknowledge basic alerts.

Hi there,

I have the same problem with NPM V10.0. Looks like we're unable to acknowledge alerts because the checkbox is greyed. Also, we can't add a comment to the acknoledgement because it says "Comment (read-only)".

I have full administrator rights. The right "Allow Account to Clear Events, Acknowledge Alerts and Syslogs" is set to YES. But I noticed that this right is to acknoledge advanced alert. Do this means that we can't acknoledge basic alerts?

The only solution I found was to truncate the Active Alerts table.

We're running NPM 10.4, Orion Core 2012.2.0 and have this problem. I haven't seen any solutions offered elsewhere in the forums. I can pull the alerts out of SQL, but that's a pain and I don't want to recreate all of our configured alerts under Advanced alerts (if that would even solve the problem).

All of the boxes to select alerts are greyed out and the Select All Alerts button does nothing.

Has anyone found a solution to this?

I don't think you can acknowledge basic alerts you can only do that for advanced alerts.
