There is currently a hard limitation that prevents automation rules from using custom date fields as conditions. It would be great if SWSD could support using a custom date field as part of its conditions.
Absolutely agree — being able to use custom date fields in SWSD automation rules would be a huge productivity boost. Currently, we have to manually track things like contract renewals and follow-ups, which is time-consuming and prone to human error. Having this feature would allow admins to: Set automated reminders or notifications Trigger escalations based on custom dates Better adherence to SLAs and internal workflows It would be great if SolarWinds could include this in a future release. In the meantime, I’m curious if others have found any workarounds using standard date fields or integration
This would be helpful for us and allow us to send reminders to track down loaned equipment.
