In some scenarios, it would be useful to be able to place some of the dashboard reporting widgets into the service portal - for example a running count of how many tickets are currently open at the various severity levels, or how many active tickets are running at a particular site or location.
This would allow end users to get a glimpse of IT workloads at a glance and allow for more transparency of issues.
Alternatively, allowing permissions to allow requestors (or other roles) to view pre-defined, approved dashboard views would accomplish the same thing (end users could just open a dashboard tab to see these stats). Higher level users (managers, presidents, etc) could be given more detailed preconfigured dashboards to view their own site's information, etc.
