Trying to figure out if SQL server licensing will be violated when a non-SCCM application connects to its SQL server. Microsoft Volume Licensing Brief - Multiplexing – Client Access License (CAL) Requirements
Are you licensed for that sql server or are you using the license they include with sccm? I thought the license that was include just couldn't host another data besides the sccm data.
We are using the SQL included with SCCM. Based on your response it sounds like I am not licensed to connect to SCCM SQL server unless its hosted on an independent host. Correct?
I just meant the database instance cant hold any data besides sccm data. You can have it on the production box if you wanted. I will try finding the license doc I had.
