SWSD July 21: SolarWinds AI (GenAI) in EU Datacenter and Upcoming Changes to Custom Fields

Expanding our SolarWinds AI to more regions with availability in the EU datacenter.

SolarWinds AI has changed the way our customers in the US datacenter work and communicate with their end users and now we are happy to announce that SolarWinds AI is available to our premier plan customers in the EU datacenter. Now our EU datacenter customers can enjoy all the following:

  • AI suggested solutions surfaces the processes likely to resolve the issue based on the ticket's content. It also flags missing information needed from the end-user to resolve the ticket, which can be requested by the agent.  
  • AI draft responses give agents suggested text to send as a response to the ticket submitter with all the relevant information they need. They can also create draft resolution text when a ticket is ready to be resolved. 
  • AI incident summary generates a summary of all comments and communication on the ticket, helping streamline collaboration as tickets get passed around to teams or agents. 

Built on the SolarWinds foundation of AI by Design, these capabilities are the ultimate helping hand for IT service management teams, using generative features directly within an agent's workflow to help drastically reduce manual and repetitive tasks, leading to empowered, high-performing teams and processes.

Upcoming release for custom fields filtering, sorting and searching

In our continued effort to introduce more advance functionality around custom fields, we will have an up coming release that will give you the ability to select which custom fields are available for filtering/sorting and searching in index pages. With this new functionality, we will also be introducing the ability to filter and sort on service request custom fields on the incident index page. This will allow your agents to slice and dice the data in a cleaner manner to find the tickets that need their attention. This new functionality will also improve your search results by excluding the fields that are not important to search on. 

This work is going to allow us to introduce the following items in the future:

  • Filtering and sorting on service request custom fields
  • New custom field types (email, number, link, and more)
  • Field validation (ensure you are collecting the information in the format you need.)
  • Custom fields in change catalog items
  • and more

This release will be a multiple phase release. Please see the attached PDF to prepare and understand each phase.
