Some please help of share how to configure the trap in paloalto. Need to know something Firewall team is missing in SNMP traps configuring or any mistake for soalrwinds.
Hello, new to Log Analyzer and have a simple use case that i cannot get to work. Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. Below is the trap received in LA: The conditions that i need to alert on are as follows: * The trap must have Varbind called 'alarmActive'. This varbind from the example above is:…
I get it that we are all IT people - querying the database or the API is a rather simple task - however, I have plenty of folks who use Solarwinds that do not have this type of experience. One of the biggest problems that I have seen is that I want an easy way to export data from Syslogs / Traps / Events. There should be a…
Hi Team I hope you're doing well. I am currently working on setting up an alert system and report for the traps we receive from the devices, specifically in relation to SLA breaches. Please see the attached snapshot for your reference. The team has configured these traps in the devices to monitor SLA breaches. My team's…
I created a processing rule for link down and link up. pop It looks for the trap down OID but my question is how to include the interface. I think once this fire it will alert for one interface and if the link up comes in for another one it would reset the alert. Any advice on how to handle this?
Greetings to the community, I wanted to ask you in which database table the trap messages are stored. Thanks
SolarWinds advises in their documentation that LA can handle 1000 Events processed per second, 3.6 million per hour and up to 90 million per day. However, as far as I can see, there is no way natively in SolarWinds to see how many events, syslogs, traps, etc, you are receiving per second/hour/day. This makes it difficult…
Long story short: Meraki only allows you to receive SNMP traps over Internet and the source IP will be from the below ranges * 209.206.48.0/20 * 216.157.128.0/20 * 158.115.128.0/19 That's a problem because Orion drops traps from nodes it's not monitoring and as you can understand, adding like 16k addresses as external…
For the TRAP Based alert either we are missing some of the notifications or receiving duplicate ones. Also the Traps are not at the same time, some of them are not generating any notification when there is only one Trap message instead there are found to be duplicate mail notifications. Not Sure on the behavior of trap…
NPM SNMP Polling supports SHA256 and SHA512 from 2022.3, but the same is not supported for SNMP Traps As per NPM Doc - When you use SNMPv3 for polling a device and receive traps from it, confirm that the same authentication type (auth, noauth, or priv) is configured for both polling and traps. The usage of MD5 and SHA1 is…
