Do we required LV/LA licence to see SNMP traps on SolarWinds portal

Dear Community Members,

One of our clients has a requirement to monitor SNMP traps from the Aruba SD‑WAN Orchestrator. We have already configured SNMP traps on the Orchestrator.

Could you please confirm whether an LV/LA license is required in SolarWinds to view these traps in the portal?

I am not sure on which version of SolarWinds you are on, but in the past traps were separate from OLV. OLV was only used for syslogs.

After version 2022.X I think we have LV and LA. LV always comes with NPM/SolarWinds and you never needed a license for it. LA was used for a different purpose altogether but licenses these days have changed based on what subscription type you have.

Ideally LV is sufficient to view SNMP Traps and if you have NPM, then LV comes by default.

LA needed license, but then it depends on what SolarWinds Observability Self Hosted solution you have, if its advanced that you have LA comes as part of advanced license.
