I am the administrator on a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Standard (32-bit) - GSNAPRINT installed with IPmonitor tool version 9. I want to add an drive space alert for another server (Windows Server 2008 R2 - Standard - GSCTTLBACKUP) but was not successful. But there were other file shares which were added for monitoring…
Hi, Do you have any solution for monitoring drivespace for a volume without a drive letter that is mounted as a folder? Eg D: \VOLUME1, D: \VOLUME2 etc etc. It's an exchange cluster with about 64volumes on each server... I ran out of drive letters quite fast :)
Hello all, I am new to Thwack and this is my first post; please forgive me if it is not in the right place or this topic has already been discussed. We currently use solar winds to monitor servers drive free space and services. I am looking for some sort of functionality where if a drive is added to a server, (after the…
Hello all, I'm new to SolarWinds Server & Application monitor but have been making very good progress with it lately. In exploring the options available to monitor our Exchange 2007 environment, I've noticed something unique about our setup that SolarWinds doesn't seem to recognize. Allow me to try to articulate this…
I am trying to monitor a directly attached drive on a Win2k3 SP2 server. It is 11.2 TB in size and the free space is 3.91TB. However, when I poll it via SNMP(within ipmonitor 9.01), it returns the following: space: -8589934592 GB, 0.00 MB; avail: 252.12% Any idea what is causing this? The other drives are polling fine.
Is it possible to create a monitor where a device will turn YELLOW (warning) if a drive space threshold passes 85%? I have monitors that provide DOWN status if the monitor passes 90%. I'd just like the server in my NOC view to go yellow if a monitor hits one threshold and RED if it hits another threshold.
Our management has requested historical metrics on things like uptime percentages, drive space, etc. All of their requests are available via the Orion website, however, I am not able to get these reports off the Orion server. Sharepoint in unable to embed or utilize credentials which are essential to login to the Orion…

Hi - I'm testing IPMonitor 9 and am trying to understand how I can get more granular monitoring of my windows servers using WMI. It seems that no matter how I configure WMI and my Windows Credentials, I cannot setup things like drive space monitoring, service monitoring and the like. Following the FAQ, I was able to fire…
I'm MOST of the way through a difficult upgrade of Orion; going from 8.5.1 to 9.1. It only took 6 re-installs and 2 calls for tech support to get it working...mostly. What I've taken away from this experience is a frustration with the lack of specifics in the hard drive space requirements section of the installation guide.…
