I am new to Thwack and this is my first post; please forgive me if it is not in the right place or this topic has already been discussed.
We currently use solar winds to monitor servers drive free space and services. I am looking for some sort of functionality where if a drive is added to a server, (after the initial provisioning into solar winds) it will be automatically added and have a standard free space watch applied. I am also looking for the same sort of auto detection for services added with the startup type set to automatic, where it will automatically apply a watch for that service.
I am not super familiar with the product and hope someone out there has done this, or can point me in a direction to set up this functionality. Otherwise I would like some feedback if this is a feature that others would like; in which case I will repost this as a feature request.
Some use cases would be:
- Customer adds a drive to a server without telling us.
- Customer or 3rd party installs critical LOB app that relies on SQL but never notifies us so services is not monitored.
- Server is re-provisioned and new roles are never added.
