Hi, has anyone encountered an SNMP timeout during a MIB walk and if so how could you extend the SNMP timeout period to prevent this from happening, I am trying to find a certain OID and reckon it's further down the walk but my walk is dying before it gets there...
To find particular values I'd like to monitor on a device what I'd usually do is perform a MIB walk using the MIB walk tool in NPM. However the output from a MIB walk is usually difficult to read or make sense of because the OID's names are never particularly intuitive or readable so what I end up doing is doing is - say…
My guess is that standard refers to all RFC OIDs?? MY understanding of which is that these OID's high up the MIB tree should be supported on all devices (is this just where the vendor decides it'll support it? It's not mandatory?) then the private MIB walk is walking the tree below the point where it becomes proprietary?…
Hi,Has anyone come across the MIBs for Ricoh office automation equipment? From some web searches there seem to be two but I can't seem to find anywhere to actually download them; * a Standard MIB with regular RFC stuff* a Private MIB with proprietary stuffThanks,Craig
Good morning everyone, I still consider myself a novice at networking, but I am learning more and more everyday, and Solarwinds has been my best friend on the job. I am currently having problems with SNMPv3 on our Foundry switches. I have managed to get the SNMPv3 credentials to pass in Solarwinds, and reporting(traps,…
Hi! Can anyone assist me on how am I going to search for mib file/oid of a device in case I can't find it using the Mib Walk Tool from Solarwinds? I need to monitor temperature status of cisco routers and servers and physical disk status of servers. :-(
I have tried several times to test OID's in the Orion Universal Device Poller, and keep getting the response "The OID is not supported". I run the device through the MIB Walk, see the OID's I want, try to assign it to that same device and them test it and .... nada. Any Ideas? PS: I forgot to mention that on the MIB Walk…
We are having some issues with the Universal Device Poller in NPM. When trying to poll OID from the UDP it replies with "the OID is not supported", when I do a MIB walk from the toolset it displays data. The hardware unit is a Panduit power outlet unit. 1.3.6.1.4.1.19536.7.10.3.2.1.2.1 1.3.6.1.4.1.19536.7.10.3.2.1.2.2 The…
Hi, Has anyone had any success with using Mitel MIBs to monitor their 3300 ICPs? We're trying to assess the “availability” of our estate of phone controllers by using more than just TCP/IP connectivity. (Briefly, the ability to ping a phone controller doesn’t always translate to an actual working system from a customer’s…
We're trialling a new bit of kit (Stoke SSX 3000) and have been sent a load of MIB info with an enterprise oid of 1.3.6.1.4.1.22653. I'm trying to show NMS capability of the box with NPM, have created a few universal device pollers but wonder if there is an easier way to bulk import up to say 200 MIB variables? Any kind of…
