Hey everyone! We’re back with another SolarWinds Service Desk update. This is a preview post a few days in advance of the release, giving you a high-level overview of what's coming, with full release descriptions, release notes, detailed documentation, and support materials dropping on the actual release day.
Here's what's rolling out Tuesday, August 11th:
Selectable Business Hours per SLA
Plan Type: All Plans
Give your team more flexibility when managing SLAs across departments, sites, and service providers. With this update, admins can continue using the existing default Business Hours behavior or select the specific schedule that an SLA should follow. This makes it easier to support different operating schedules, such as IT 24x7 coverage, HR 9–5 weekdays, or regional calendars, while keeping SLA calculations aligned with the team responsible for the work. Existing SLAs will continue to behave as they do today.
Zoom Built-in Process Integration (Launching in Labs)
Plan Type: Advanced & Premier
Bridge the gap between your service desk and video collaboration with a new built-in process integration for Zoom. This integration provides simplified, out-of-the-box actions for creating instant meetings, scheduling meetings, retrieving meeting details, and more. You can automate workflows such as spinning up an incident war room, generating a meeting link for a scheduled change, or creating a Zoom meeting as part of an onboarding process.
Entra ID Built-in Process Integration: More Actions (Launching in Labs)
Plan Type: Advanced & Premier
Make identity and access workflows easier to automate with additional actions in the Entra ID built-in process integration. You can now add or remove users from groups, revoke sign-in sessions, and update a user’s manager. These actions help support common onboarding, offboarding, access-management, and security-response workflows with a more streamlined setup experience.
