After doing some user testing with a screen reader, we noticed that there are some real flaws in the user portal of our SolarWinds service desk.
For example, on the new ticket form, the attachment button doesn't have the correct label so it is described by the screen reader as 'button'. Additionally, the drop down boxes for category, subcategory, priority, date and other fields, do not have their label read by the screen reader because the page is not coded correctly.
As a government agency, we are expected to have software that is accessible using a screen reader. SolarWinds is really letting us down here.
I would like SolarWinds to take accessibility seriously and do a full testing and address the issues in their tools. If it is this easy for me to find 2 large issues in the standard ticket form, what other issues must exist within the system.
