Looking at an ASSET under the ASSETS BASICS Tab, there are fields that never gets populated.
- CLIENTS will pull in the correct current & former clients.
- LOCATION never gets populated, unless you do it manually from the drop-down list.
- ROOM never gets populated, unless you do it manually from the drop-down list.
- DEPARTMENT never gets populated, unless you do it manually from the drop-down list.
Looking at the ASSET DETAILS, you can create CUSTOM FIELDS, and those also appears in the Microsoft SMS/SCCM Connector.
Unfortunately, when attempting ATTRIBUTE MAPPING there are only 27 hardcoded attributes you can select from.
None of those are LOCATION, ROOM, DEPARTMENT etc.
We also want to use other VARIABLES found in SCCM, and which we want to populate WHD ASSETS from Active Directory COMPUTER OBJECTS.
The LDAP connector for clients allow those changes to be made. ALL variables can be mapped to Custom Fields if we so choose.
Surely the same is possible for the SCCM connector.
I do not want to further complicate things by now having to enable, and then have to modify the DATABASE Table or View, thingamabob.
