I love the labels in VMAN. I've spent a lot of time labeling resources by all sorts of tags - i.e. Production = True or False, DepartmentOwner = Accounting or HR etc. Then I can use those labels in charts and widgets inside of VMAN, i.e. storage used by DepartmentOwner.. This is great when I'm the only audience for the report. However, I now need to report on this data through our Enterprise Dashboard. I thought that would be easy. However, there is apparently no way to report against these labels outside of the web interface of Virtualization Manager. The only way I know of to get this information out of the proprietary web interface is to email an .xlsx report from VMAN, then have a script that monitors a mailbox for that, and parses then .xlsx file into a table in SQL. Please store these labels in the Orion database somehow. Or if not there, please open them up to the SWQL queries.
