Our processes and automation rules may vary depending on the requester's profile.
This may include his role and/or user group.
We are currently unable to create conditions (in service catalog items and in automation rules) based on this.
A great example is for the approval process.
Let's say we have a service catalog item for Adobe Acrobat Pro. The approval process should look like this:
If Requester's Deparment Equals to Accounting
If Requester is member of Head of Accounting Group [Or why not If Requester is Incident Requester's Site Manager himself]
Create Task Assign License
Else
Send Approval notification to Head of Accounting
At the moment, even if the Head of Accounting is requesting for a new license, the process doesn't continue until he has approved, which doesn't make any sense, it should be able to auto approve.
We could really benefit from this feature being added.
