Is there a way to use Entra as a source in UDT ? It looks like there is only AD Domain Controllers, unless I am missing something?
Although the ITOps and CloudOps teams manage distinct environments, they both aim for the same thing: visibility into their infrastructure. In a recent article, Director of Product Marketing @peter.distefano discusses how both teams can achieve comprehensive network performance, traffic flow, and path analysis through…
When i use the invoke from the Orion.UDT.Port.AdministrativeShutdown, I get an error. I also did an invoke from PowerShell and I get the same error. However, it does work from the GUI We are on SolarWinds Observability Self-Hosted 2025.2.0 I opened a case with SolarWinds Tech support, but was told that SolarWinds is unable…
Hello there I got a weird issue. I have added all the interfaces including vlans to a load of Cisco 2960x switches but when I search for any mac addresses for devices such as Aruba access points connected to the Cisco 2960x switches they come up as if connected but when I open the UDT page for the device I don't get the…
Hi all, My Org is trying to utilize the Rogue Device widget. The end goal is to have the widget and an email alert to inform us that a non-Org device has connected to our network. To achieve this goal, I create 2 IP range whitelists and 2 hostname whitelists. The hostname whitelists, whitelist the two domains that we have.…
Hello, I am looking to create an alert for certain endpoints down in Solarwinds via UDT. When navigating to a node, I can see the details here: However, via the UI, under alerts I cannot find the variable last seen. I've queried the Orion.UDT.Endpoint table and see the LastUpdate field, but it shows a date/time instead of…
This may have been asked at some point, but I cannot find anything related. I have added my Domain Controllers and the credentials used have Domain Admin access. But when I go to Device Tracker>User Tracking, there's no one there. Am I missing a step?
I don't think it is possible. I"ll put a Thin AP name into the "Search Device Tracker" field but it pulls up nothing. This seems weird as I can use a SWQL query to find the AP in the table "Orion.UDT.LldpEntry" by name. Why is that? It'd be nice to drill down to a Thin AP from a controller and see where it's connected to…
I have a scenario to alert me whenever the MAC addresses (of servers) are disconnected from my network routers and switches. What would be the best approach to do this. Thank you.
Good Afternoon, I wanted to post a question out here in hopes of getting pointed in the right direction. I was told that we need to get UDP up and running for rogue detection and have never used this aspect of SW before. I am asking for recommendations for links to things to read/watch so I can get my feet under this…
