My Org is trying to utilize the Rogue Device widget. The end goal is to have the widget and an email alert to inform us that a non-Org device has connected to our network.
To achieve this goal, I create 2 IP range whitelists and 2 hostname whitelists. The hostname whitelists, whitelist the two domains that we have. Once I did this, I still had devise in the Rogue Device widget. In the device name column, it displayed the device's MAC address.
When I clicked the MAC address to review the device details. Some devises have the domain(s) that I had whitelisted in the "latest Hostname" field, plus an IP address in the range that I had also whitelisted. Other devise only have IP addresses that I have whitelisted.
My question is:
Why are these derives not being whitest by the 4 lists I created?
Do I need to create a whitelist to whitelist the MAC address range too? I have10000+ devices.
