I'd like to build an alert to detect a mass trigger of alerts. Basically, something is happening in the datacenter. Example trigger this 'Mass Alert', if we see 10 alerts created in the last 15 minutes. Any help would be appreciated. Most likely an SQL or SWQL alert needed for this. Thanks, Richard
I am trying to send an email when a specific trap occurred, I found that I can create an alert based on a trap but when we send the alert, it doesn't any include any traps data in it
Hello Guys, Am running NPM 2020.2.5 on windows Server 2012 R2 and SQL 2004 on Separate Server for DB. Recently this year the NPM is misbehaving, example when the Node goes down, on NPM Web the Node is still showing Green, But when you click it and check on Node down , it shows it had gone down. so for this scenario am not…
Hi, I am trying to set up an Alert on any Cisco Router that has 2 specific interfaces (Tunnel11 and Tunnel12) simultaneously not up (effectively down for whatever reason). If either Tunnel is operational, while not ideal, I am ok with it. Its only when both Tunnels are down that is an issue I want an alert on. I have tried…
Is there a way to take a long string that is formatted a specific way and have some of the pieces that come from SW variables and may contain special characters get checked and corrected BEFORE being sent out via script? Like, can a trigger action step be added that takes the variables we'd normally send out and do some…
I performed the 2022.4 upgrade earlier this week and after doing so, all of our JMX monitors began flickering between "Up"/"Unknown" every 5-30 minutes. I've tried to re-create the monitor template and re-apply, but that doesn't fix the issue. I'm not sure how to begin troubleshooting this. I've asked my team to see if it…
Hi, we currently have an automated alert to ServiceNow whenever we have a site Group go down. Our groups are nested into regions ie. APAC - Australia - Hong Kong ... EMEA - Germany - London ... NASA - New York ... etc. and our current alert is configured to include this description: However, our service management team…
Our Citrix servers re-build over night, How can I schedule reoccurring routine maintenance and or stop it effecting our uptime and trigging alerts during there re-builds without turning the alerts off completely ?
So we're new to SW, the question is, can we take something we're monitoring, get an Alert for let's say a minor threshold and create an incident in our monitoring tool. Then, when the same device comes in with the same issue but breaches a higher threshold or, has multiple now coming and so it's an aggregate, use that same…
While trying to build a special reset condition for an Alert I realized that I couldn't come up with a scope that would be limited to "the item that triggered the alert." Is there some way to specify this? What I want to do is have a reset condition that specifies, "when the status of the triggered item is 'Up'". The…
