Any others out there running into this issue? We've optimized around evals not in production, so we're trying to get a sense of how many customers are running into this.
-
Unfortunately, this didn't make 5.1. We're looking at this for the next release. When you say "baselining from the website", can you confirm that you're wanting the ability to set / unset a config as the baseline?
-
Ok, that helps. I remember we saw an issue with SSH on some particular Dell devices. Are you running NCM (Cirrus) v5? We've resolved quite a few of these connectivity issues in that version. If you're already running v5, then I'll want to have you open a support ticket open on this one for tracking purposes (attach session…

Also, try clicking the refresh button on the top right of the node list to see if that has any effect.
-
If you could make this work exactly how you wanted, what would that look like? For example, would you want the ability to run a series of commands and have the results merged into a single config file? Or would you want to have a separate config file per command type?

The issue with polling CBQoS on subinterfaces has been resolved in NTA 3.5 SP2 Hotfix 1. You may download the hotfix from your customer portal.

I've moved a default SmartGroup (All Monitors) to the My Network group. Is the screen shot below look like what you want to accomplish?
-
It is still limited to one startup and one running config per device. However, you can add the device again and point it at a modified device template for capturing different configs. Device A - standard device template that captures running and startup when download config operation is executed Device A (copy) - uses…

I think your best bet is to open a ticket with support so we can track this is a bug and fix this within the product proper.
-
Since these are user access ports, can you try setting the ports to unpluggable mode? Also, if you haven't already, please open a support ticket on this issue with diagnostics so we can investigate further.
-
Our plan is to add NCM support to EOC in a future version. This way you can have multiple Orion NPMs and multiple NCMs rolling up to a single EOC.
-
Ah, I just reread your original post. It appears you configured your AD login with an Engineer's role instead of a Administrator role. Try logging into the NCM client app, then logout (File > Logout). You'll see the credentials dialog again. Try logging in using the Administrator account and you'll be able to manage users…

Please open a ticket on this one. Those are pretty clear repro steps so we'll want to verify this is fixed in 5.0
-
To help us prioritize, if there are others that would like this, please speak up! Thanks.

Can the folks having issues with banners post their exact commands scripts they're trying to run in NCM, target device types, and whether you're using SSH or Telnet for script execution? I'd like to try to reproduce myself. I've noticed that on our Cisco 4507 switch in the lab, it requires delimitting the MOTD banner with…

We're absolutely looking at improvements to Policy Reporting in future releases. In addition to more out of the box reports, we really want to give users the ability to share rules, policies, and reports they've written to help populate content more quickly. If you have Policy Reports that you've already written that you'd…

Thanks mleinio. We've got that one as well.

We fixed several issues 5.5.2 related to SNMP v3 support. I'd recommend upgrading to that version and retrying.
-
I also upgraded to 9.5.1 yesterday, but found when I came in this morning that NCM was VERY unhappy, unable to download configs, etc.... What version of NCM did you have installed? We haven't heard this before, but we'd like to look into it.
-
I don't think the continuous intermittent failure with config backup is pervasive, because I've personally interviewed a great many of our Cirrus customers (magnitudes more than the number that are experiencing this particular issue). Believe me, they're not a quiet bunch and would let me know if the solution isn't doing…

As noted in this thread, we license NTA to fit your network. The best approximation we have of your network size is the size of your Orion NPM license. A very large network can have all its data flowing through a few large interfaces, as could a very small network. So all interfaces are not equal for NTA as a technology.…
-
dclick, are you personally experiencing the issue with NPM and NCM integration or are you just concerned that it might not work? The reason I ask is that we've got thousands of customers running in production with NPM and NCM integration successfully without issues, so I wouldn't let this thread discourage you from…

Thanks! That satisfied my curiosity Let me know if you have any additional questions.

...Doubtful. Attempted install on Server Core in test environment. Requires: - .NET Framework 2.0 Redist - C++ 2008 SP1 Redist Just FYI, I think you can install .NET on Server Core (no sure about the C++ redist): http://blogs.technet.com/server_core/archive/2008/11/25/net-2-0-and-server-core-in-windows-server-2008-r2.aspx

Thanks for the feedback!

We don't have a solution for this right now, but this is a known issue. If you wouldn't mind, please create a support ticket and reference #1085 in our dev tracking system. This will help us prioritize this fix in our next release and ensure that we're able to track this back to all the requesting customers.

I think the minimum bar is just allowing each individual webviewer to select what they want to see. A configuration dialog in the web console that retrieves the available policy reports and let's the user select which ones to view or not view on the console. Allowing them to select entire groups with one click would be…

If Vendor Icon isn't at the top of the Selected Properties, this looks to be a new bug. Please open a support ticket on this and reference this thread.

bleearg13, Thanks for you patience while we troubleshoot this issue. We've received the support ticket and are tracking this in developoment. Sham and the dev team have isolated ther root cause of the issue. Our pre-command support allows sending a command before the login process. However, your device expects a login and…

Brad, there isn't a way to set a specific timeout per device. There is a global SSH/Telnet prompt timeout value that can be set, but it affects all devices. I've captured this as a feature request. Can you provide details on your organization's use-case so we can make sure any future implementation takes this into account?…
