Anyone know how to use SQL to add new nodes directly to the database? I have a large number of devices I need to monitor with ICMP only. I don't want to scan subnets because there are too many of them and the seedfile.txt method only works for SNMP ebabled devices which these are not. Thanks.
We would like to automate removal and addition of nodes as much as possible using a script based approach. Is there any way to do this without going to the web interface to complete the task? The add node process should include Name, IP Address, Polling Method settings and Custom Properties. I'm having a hard time finding…
Have exported out my old 8.5.1 nodes into a seed file of Nodename IPaddress BigRouter1 1.1.1.1 BigRouter2 2.2.2.2 Does the seedfile have to be in CSV or TAB delimited? Can I have a nodename associated with the IP, or do I just have to feed it IP's?
Is there a way to import nodes via seedfile in Orion 9.5SP1? Network Sonar discovers our Netscreen devices but doesn't allow me to import them. I've used the seedfile process in the past and it worked flawlessly. I know that the auto discovery process is intended to replace the seedfiles, but it isn't working for me at…
I am trying to import a list of IPs(to start with just 5). On the discovery tab, it dicovers all 5 but when I close it, the next step button or Import tab is still disabled and I can not proceed any further. Any thoughts? Here is what my seed file looks like, it has the tabs in front of IPs: Settings Auto Select Subnets =…
Is there a better way to add over 120 ICMP only nodes to Orion rather than one at a time? I attempted the seed file but I think it failed since they did not respond to SNMP. These are ICMP devices only.
Hello. I want to use Network Discovery to import about 200 nodes using SNMP v2c. I have listed all the ipaddress in the seed file and all the nodes are imported successfully. But then when I check node detail, I find that all the nodes are using SNMP v1. Where should I define the version in the seed file? Thanks in advance!
I am looking to remove a certain interface type across an entire network from monitoring. Network Discovery has a very useful way of importing thousands of single interfaces types at once, does anyone know of a similar method to delete instead? All suggestions are very welcome. I am looking to avoid doing what I know would…
Import ICMP Nodes using Seedfile.txt In our environment we have a large number of routers that managed by another organization so we don't have SNMP strings but we need to know if they are no longer available via ICMP. I have tried using the seedfile.txt file but it appears to only discover nodes that it can contact via…
Dears, I used Network Discovery Tool for A specific IPs, but It doesn't Discover that IP instead it discoverd the whole network IPs, its very hard to add the hole nodes, so What shall I put to discover a specific IPs, i'm using a range of IPs as follows: 10.6.0.0 10.6.1.0 10.1.0.0 10.1.1.0 and so on Thanks I'm waiting for…
