Using Network Discovery Tool, using IP Subnets

Dears, I used Network Discovery Tool for A specific IPs, but It doesn't Discover that IP instead it discoverd the whole network IPs, its very hard to add the hole nodes, so What shall I put to discover a specific IPs, i'm using a range of IPs as follows:

10.6.0.0

10.6.1.0

10.1.0.0

10.1.1.0

and so on

I'm pretty sure that when you do the discovery, you have the option to specify the network and mask in step 2. Does this not work for you?

Are you using the host seed file? If so, the Auto-select Subnets command needs to be set to 'false'. Importantly, you need to have a space before the commands and before the nodes in your seed file, or it won't work.

I'm playing around with the network discovery also. I can't get it to work either.

Here's how my seedfile.txt looks like :

    Auto Select Subnets = FALSE
    Auto Select Subnet Size = 17
    PING Timeout = 2000
    Max Concurrent PINGs = 350
    Inter PING Delay = 100
    PINGs Per IP Address = 2
    SNMP Timeout = 1500
    SNMP Retries = 2
    Max Concurrent SNMP = 350
    SNMP Restarts = 3
    SNMP Restart Delay = 10000
    Max Concurrent DNS = 400

Community Strings

[...]

Nodes
12.34.56.79

There are spaces before the community string and the IP. After editing the seedfile.txt , I

Step 1 : Open network discovery

Step 2 : New Discovery Database

Step 3 : Import Seedfile

Step 4 : delete default community strings

Step 5 : click "Next step" through till 3.Network Discovery

Step 6 : start Network Discovery

Step 7 : drink coffee, wash the car, teach the cat the limbo dance

Step 8 : freak out since the looks like this :

Step 9 : click on close and realize there's nothing to import. However, the given IP is active, alive and ready to be discovered.
Where's my mistake ?

The seed file format is very picky. You need more than one space.

Make it look like this:

Community Strings
    xxx
    yyy
    zzz

Nodes
    10.199.1.20
    10.199.1.8
    10.199.1.70

I tried 1 space, 2 spaces and 3 spaces. Still the discovery turns up with no node discovered. Kind of losing hope on this :-(
