We are a hospital that has two DHCP environments, one for mobile devices (staff, patients, and families) and one for everything else. The mobile environment is two DHCP servers in a 50-50 load balance partnership while the other environment is a hot standby partnership with the primary server at our main data center and…
Does SolarWinds offer a NPM/SAM solution for an Active/Active environment? I've read about the FOE (Fail Over Engine) but we'd prefer to have an "active" SolarWinds system at both of our datacenters. How are others handling an Active/Active environment? Thank you in advance for your replies!
I've recently upgraded NPM from v10.0 to v10.1.2. My Hot Standby Engine v10.0 keep stalling every few munites. I understand the HSE is being replaced by Failover engine, I haven't had time to do the upgrade yet. The FOE replacement product seems to take a while to setup and configure. I just wonder has anyone upgraded NPM…
Installing Orion NPM version 10 with license for additional polling engine and NTA at work from the ground up. I understand the additional polling engine is just an NPM install on a seperate server and once the NPM's have discovered devices we can use 'Monitor Polling Engines' feature to decide which polling engine will…
Does the hot standby engine support SQL clustering? Let’s say I have my Orion box in HQ and my Hot Standby in DR will the HS take over if my HQ goes offline if my SQL is configured in an active/passive (1 in HQ and 1 in DR) mode? Thanks

All, When I check the Hot Standby under Monitor Polling engine when I look at the Engine Type and Engine Version it still shows 9.5.0 even though I've updated with SP1 While additional poller and main NPM show 9.5sp1 some of the information still shows V9 and Engine Version 9.5.0. Should this all not be consistent showing…
It's been too long since I've installed a module (APM, NPM) on our Orion v9.1 systems and I can't remember if I'm supposed to install a module like IPAM v1.0 on our Hot-Standby system in addition to the primary NPM node. From the looks of it, our former admin did additionally install APM and NPM on the Hot-Standby... but…
