Please provide more support for other vendors e.g. Brocade or HPE. This would be appreciated. Thank you!
Probably every network administrator knows this problem: How do I know what equipment in my network is going End-of-Life (EoL) and when? This blog post discusses various aspects of this issue and offers some possibilities how the EoL problem can be solved using the newly updated EOL Lookup service from SolarWinds together…
As a part of the effort to make the EoL/EoS feature (available with NCM 7.2) as useful as possible, we would like to ask you to report any devices where our data is missing, incorrect, or the suggestions are misleading. We will do our best to incorporate your feedback into NCM. Note: If applicable please provide the…
All, I'd like to have a method to manually broaden the EOL search. Example, we have a couple Cisco 28xx (01 and 11) ISRs left in our inventory. I know there is an EOL definition for these, because I've seen the definition for 2821s. However, when I select them and "Assign Dates" nothing is listed. If I could "browse" all…
I have a lot of Cisco switches that do not have correct EOS suggestions. I don't have a lot of different models. In order to populate the EOS dates, I have to go to each one individually. Why? All 3750X have the same EOS date. All 2960S have the same EOS date. Why can't NCM apply the entered date to all identical switches?
Please add comments which vendors you would appreciate most.
All, I'd like a way to remove "Suggested Dates" from devices that have been misidentified by the EOL process. Example, I have a Cisco ISR 4331 that has suggested dates, but I know this is not accurate since the hardware is relatively new and there is no Cisco EOL notification. I know you can "Ignore Devices" but this…
NCM has come a long way since the days of Cirrus, I really like the newer hardware-based EOL/EOS and Firmware Vulnerabilities. What I'd like to see now is a place to assign EOL/EOS dates to the software component of the hardware. For example, I might be running a new Cisco 3850 switch, but the running IOS might be EOL,…
It would be nice to grab serial number for other devices than just Cisco. Getting the serial number of Fortigates, Riverbed etc. End of Sale, End of Support of other devices would be helpful also and probably easier to get. All of our Cisco devices have suggested dates and trying to figure out which one to use is a…
We are testing the feature “End of Support & End of Sales Lookup” and the value generated in End of Support/Sales/SW maintenance seems not accurate. It doesn’t access internet to update EoL/EoS information. Also SolarWinds does not guarantee information is up-to-date and comprehensive in each release. Therefore the…
