Te2/6/14 Receive Power Sensor on XXXXXXXXXXX is Warning The Alerts and Hardware Monitoring events I get on many of my big Cisco Switches really clog the event log up... I hate the idea of turning hardware monitoring off but what causes these ten gig e to do this??? I've been told having fibers that are too short on 10 Gig…
Hello! I am evaluating NPM, and I noticed that the Hardware Health sensor is showing a "Major" state, and "Warning" status for 5 of my 6 10 gig interfaces. The errors are for Bias Current Sensor, and Supply Voltage Sensor. Also a Receive Power sensor for one of the interfaces. The problem is, only 2 of those interfaces are…
When selecting Hardware Health Sensor allow us to choose which hardware components we want to monitor.
Okay everyone so here is my issue. I work for a large ISP out of Minnesota and we just stood up a brand new all Cisco network consisting entirely of ASR 9K routers, specifically 9001's and 9010's. When first adding them to Orion before we upgraded to 11.5 we ran into a lot of hardware health alarms, mainly relating to…
Without digging into MIB's, is there a way to monitor the hardware of Cisco switches for failed or predicted failure of hardware such as ports? Is this something that is being researched?
This feels like an on-going series of questions on how to prove that we checked a box in list resources. I'm trying to build a report that finds all physical devices in our environment, checks to see if they could be polled for hardware status and then checks to see if they are actually reporting any hardware statuses. I…
Is there a way to turn off only the Hardware statistics collection while leaving other SNMP data like disk, cpu, etc... on? Reason we want to do this is we have a handful of devices that have broken hardware that will not be fixed, and our client do not want alerts for that monitoring. We can prevent the alerts from firing…
I'm having trouble getting the hardware health monitor to work on our Cisco devices. Right now every Cisco device displays the status message below. Anybody know what's up? Thanks!
Hiyas Having a problem with Hardware Monitor and some, not all, blades in a HP c7000 chassis. We had a blade that had some bad memory, and Orion reported memory in yellow as "degraded", as I understand it there were also errors and events both in VMware and the HP manager(i am no server guy.. thank god). The server team…
