I'm facing issue configuring reliable alert when Cisco switch power supply status changes. The way i set it is working and i'm getting alert with all relevant to issue data. The problem is when condition - power supply status = shutdown is triggered on single unit. Solawinds sends alerts for all nodes assigned this puller.…
Hello, Running on 2024.1.1 with 800+ Arista devices and none of them detects Arista Power Supply (it detects only the PowerSupply Fan sensor) Ex: we want to list the below power supply with their operational status on the "Hardware Health" page AMER-NY1-F15-SW1(s1)#show snmp mib walk 1.3.6.1.2.1.47.1.1.1.1.2.100711000…
Has anyone been able to produce an alert for a failed power supply on a Cisco Switch? I have searched Thwack and found enough information to get this to work on Cisco Routers. However, I am not able to get this to work on Cisco Catalyst Switches. I suspect it is something to do with the Fully Qualified Name Contains "Power…
I would like to recieve a email, if a power supply shuts down. We have switches that have 2 power supply, and sometimes one of the supplies can shutdown. Is it possible to receive a email if this happends? I am using Solarwinds web
Currently, we are dealing with Huawei S5720 and S12708 Switches, we are required to monitor Power Supply/Status and Hardware health of the Switches. However, we noticed that SolarWinds is not supported by Default. We try using Universal Device Poller to solve the issue but we try all the OID value provided by the THWACK…
I am trying to create a catch-all alert that sends an email if a PSU goes down. With the current trigger conditions, it will email if the status of anything in the "Power Supply" category is not equal to "Up", including items that have a equivalent status such as "Normal" or "On". If I create conditions that include…
The OID I am polling at the moment is cefcModuleOperStatus 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.117.1.2.1.1.2. When I poll a Nexus 7k switch I am getting a result: 2,2. I am guessing this means OK and OK. The thing is I don't know what other outputs there are for this OID and what there values might mean. I am guessing I'm correct in assuming…
We have 3x Cisco VG310's that we added today and they Power Supplies for all of them are in a Warning Status. When we go to check the status on the devices themselves they are showing Normal. VG310#sh env all SYSTEM POWER SUPPLY STATUS ========================== Power Supply Type: AC Power Supply 12V Output Status: Normal…
Hi Thwackers, Im able to see many NCM device template for various vendors (Cisco, HP, Aruba, 3CMOM etc) but unable to see any for Raritan PDU (Power suuply). Can anyone suggest what would be the SystemOID, command name and value? Thanks
Have, a couple of times, seen a flurry of these alerts on 10G interfaces in some Cisco 6500 and 4500 switches. I found an earlier discussion in 2012 about this and generally the conclusion seemed to be that these were bogus alarms. Has anyone had a similar experience? We are running the latest version of NPM, verison 12.
