I need some clarification on the timezone display for Solarwinds when a user logs into the web front end. Our NPM main instance is in Hungerford, GB. This is where our Web,DB, and Main Poller are. We have 3 remote pollers in the US in the Central Timezone. Can someone help clarify how data is displayed to the consumers of…
The date of last successful poll is 3:23 PM at around 9:30AM local time. The monitored server and all of our orion servers are in MDT, not UTC. Is this issue happening for anyone else? I only first noticed it after the upgrade to 2020.2.4 and it is only on Appinsight for Active Directory checks. Thanks.
My environment circles around a call center. We are guaranteed to have nodes go down every single day, all across the map. To make this as summarized as possible, is it possible to have ONE SINGLE alert with multiple schedules based on our Time Zone CPT field? For example, we have 2 sites in EST, and 4 sites in AKST that…
I've been tasked with generating a report that shows only specific interfaces and their utilization over the past month during business hours and days only. Seems straight forward with the web report writer but where it gets tricky is the per timezone requirement. Throwing in a custom property to indicate what datetime to…
UTC or Localtime! How should data be stored in Orion? Go take the poll and let SolarWinds know we need timezones in our data. Should all data be stored in UTC and have a timezone setting, or just stored in UTC and have a user timezone setting? What do you all think? Go.
Currently in DPA the graphs all show the time based on the time of the application server. This can be changed in the system.properties file. See this article. http://knowledgebase.solarwinds.com/kb/questions/5967/Timezones+-+Setting+Timezones+in+DPA This is a global setting. If in DPA I am monitoring servers in different…
I have a database instances being monitored in several countries/timezones. I would like each database instance to log using it's local timezone rather than the timezone of the monitoring server. Is it possible to set the timezone on a per server basis? Thanks, Jeff
This idea is related to the case #557657 Hello there Right now, when we unmanage a device the popup shown Local System Time for the Unmanaged Schedule. It would be real usefull for us to be able to choose if we want webconsole to capture local data/time or if we want it to show any other time zone. In older versions, npm 9…
Hi: I'm creating separate advanced alerts for my different time zones. For example, say a specific site goes down for maintenance between 12 AM and 3 AM Sunday mornings... I need to be able to ignore the monitors during this window. In CST I have one alert, in PST another, etc... It would be cool if I could grab the TZ…
How do I specify Universal Time (UTC) in ipMonitor's maintenance schedules? The closest I see is GMT, however it must be taking DST into account, which I need to ignore. Please advise.
