Its observed that the variables that are required to be present at bare minimum are not available for use while using VMware Events.. like below * Source Time * Log Type * Level * Event Type * Key * Secondary Source Label These are all visible when we click on an event in VMware Events page but when we go to alerting, no…
Would like to see VMAN collecting vCenter alarms as defined here Preconfigured vSphere Alarms as well as custom alarms and have the ability to alert on them in Orion
Hi Everyone, My Request: When ESXi host changes status, VMAN should read whole alert message from vCenter (or maybe some additional parameters), and at least represent it by appropriate state description (like 'Alert forwarded from vCenter', or full message from vCenter). * The state of ESXi host - caused by alert read…
I am in month two of trying to deploy my additional polling engine (APE) and wanted to see if anyone else out there is having this same issue. Last month I was on 2020.2.4 and I was trying to deploy my APE and ran into a bunch of issues. Support said that I should update to 2020.2.5 and that should fix my installation…

I have one that works well on a shutdown but when I followed that same pattern for reboots I get no results. Any help would be greatly appreciated. -- NEEDS VM GUEST REBOOT VISIBILITY Re: Alert for VM guests that reboot…

When we upgrade we want to use the feature in VMAN 8.4 to alert on VMware events - we really want that feature - and I'm assuming this is included in the VMAN we paid for. Does this use some…
Hello; We use Round Robin (Vmware) as Path Selection policy and ESXI goes to SAN Storage by using 4 path on dual HBA. When a line is down or there is problem with SAN on ESXI host , vcenter alerts me by sending e-mail. Why does VMAN alert me? Is that possible?
