I have a couple HPE DL380 servers that have non-HPE memory modules. The servers work fine, but this causes a 'degraded' status in the health management system on the server. SolarWinds of course picks this up. Is it possible to acknowledge/clear this error on the server itself, so it doesn't show up in SW? I've marked the…
For few HPE Nodes, below Events getting generated at node, Security access violation from x.x.x.x for the community name or user name : public X.X.X.X is APE, where the node is added and its correct. Note: All Nodes has SNMPv3 enabled and same polling method is used. These are not VLAN related issues, as rest HPE Nodes has…
We're having difficulty getting this monitored. In the GUI it gives the auth and priv as AES and SHA but none of the documentation says what level (we have tried several). We have SNMP enabled on the subnet and no firewall is blocking the port. Looks like the CLI is disabled on gen 4…
A SolarWinds should follow the Gartner Magic Quadrant of storage devices and add support for devices from these vendors as soon as they are announced. e.g. add support for HPE Alletra
Hello professionals Our organization needs to build its policy on HPE switches; all compliance rules are for CISCO. and we do not use any PCI or HIPAA NIST compliance. actually we need to check if the port is comply with our policy. So I create a new rule like below: The result is not clear: I have no configuration on port…
Howdy Thwack! I am working on a new 2023.2 SolarWinds server on new hardware. Exciting! I am aware that changes have been made for monitoring HPE hardware health. I have seen several Thwack posts and other forum posts about monitoring hardware health on the HPE Gen 10 and newer servers. I have been through the numerous…
Hello, I recently added these storage array's into Orion's SRM and I'm receiving a message from all of them saying Degraded. This is from the Home page of SRM and I highlight an object with an exclaimation mark. This is on all 6 arrays that have recently been setup. My engineer reviewed from that side and sees no issue…
It would be great if there was a way in NPM to monitor the individual switches in an Aruba/HPE-Aruba stack. Looking for a feature that would allow NPM to monitor the status of each individual switch as a sub-component of the overall stack monitoring so we would get an alert if an individual switch crashed. We can monitor…
As said in the title, add HPE Gen 10 DL 580 as out of the box supported device, been able to see all the info, including the hardware health
Since Gen10, HPE does not support WBEM or the SIM Agent. SolarWinds provides a way to grab hardware health by polling the server using SNMP as described here: https://support.solarwinds.com/SuccessCenter/s/article/SAM-How-to-Monitor-Hardware-Health-from-HP-Gen-10-Servers?language=en_US and clearly states it does not work…
