I am currently working on creating a web report for Un-planned downtime reporting that will be sent to multiple people placed ideally into an excel spreadsheet format detailing the : Start Date/Time, End Date/Time, Tier, Application, the down event, and lastly the downtime in minutes. any assistance would be greatly…
After inheriting SolarWinds Administration responsibilities, I wanted to be able to audit the Polling method and Username for all of my nodes. This report sorts based on the Device Type, polling method, and user credentials.
I took the existing 'Average CPU Utilization - This Week' report, that works fine. I copied it, and modified from 'Last Week' to 'Last 7 Days', and get goofy results. When I run the report, the Graph portion (Custom Chart) appears to work correctly showing the top 5 nodes CPU average graphed for the last 7 days, but I get…
We are trying to find out how many tickets are being created via web interface. We are moving away from specific Request Types and using generic types for efficiency. This will cause reporting to be less specific. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
In the thick client based report writer, you can setup filters based on day, and time of day. There is an excellent post here detailing the steps. We are in the process of moving custom reporting functionality created due to limitations in Solarwinds reporting back into Solarwinds however we are running into a number, I'm confident I should be able to resolve the issues but from browsing the forums I can see the community has put together some incredible solutions on…
Bit of a conundrum here ladies and gents: A number of clients have Service Delivery Managers who ask for various monthly reports, and these reports are identical apart from being limited to only show that customer's data. I'm pretty sure this is common to almost every SolarWinds house. In the past, I've simply copied one…
Many mibs report time in centiseconds (e.g. run-time for a UPS) -- short of using a UnDP transform i can't convert this easily into a time as the web-based reporting doesn't allow centiseconds as the storage format.. so idea: allow web-based reporting to convert centiseconds into a useful time
Just as a preface to this post, I just want to say that I work for an entity that supports a large group of schools and that I do not know SQL all that well. I have used a lot from this community so I figured that I would give something (hopefully useful) back. I know that the Report Writer is able to do some complex…
