Duplicate Assets from sccm sync

We are syncing assets from sccm, it appears if a machine is re imaged therefore it is removed from sccm and re added after the image it creates a second asset in WHD. This is causing issues because the second record that is created is then the main asset that is going to be updated from sccm and the original will not. Has anyone seen this issue and have some advice?

Does a second record exist within SCCM?

Also what are you Sync on within Attribute Mapping Tab in the Discovery connection in WHD?

There has not been two records in SCCM. When imaging through PXE boot over the network you have to remove the machine from SCCM in order for the image to work which is where I think this issue is coming from. It looks like to me WHD is seeing it as a new machine even though it has the same serial number.

You are doing the Sync and allowing WHD to generate it's own number sequence.

The first Option "Asset No." could have Sync'ed on Serial number so it would have seen it as the same Asset, unfortunately it is seeing it as a new Asset and thus creating a new record for it.

Here is an example of an asset in there 3 times. The duplicated assets dont have any hardware information and I am thinking it is due to the fact there is the duplicate serial number which wont allow the system to update that information.

I can try that, changing the asset number option at the top to Serial Number. Will that make the Asset number the serial number or is it just specifying what its primary value to sync with is. I hope that question makes sense, but I am new to using this tool.
