By default, Application Dependency Monitoring (ADM) polls nodes every 120 minutes. We've found that this is not frequent enough to detect connections that are infrequent and/or brief. If I increase the polling frequency to, say, every 5 minutes, I can get ADM to detect more application connections. However, Solarwinds support warned me that this can have a significant impact on Solarwinds performance.
Does anyone here had ADM polling more frequently than every 2 hours / 120 minutes? Have you noticed any significant impact on overall Solarwinds performance?
