Phone-Friendly Reports

I'm looking for a way to create reports that are more phone friendly, either by generating them in plain text or by eliminating the SolarWinds menu wrapper that appears at the top (which, on a phone, makes for several screens of scrolling before the real content of the report appears).

Any experience/ideas/suggestions?

take a look at the blog From SolarWinds to Twitter with Plexxi's DSE talks about Plexxi using the Orion SDK Information to automate messages. you should be able to do something similar in creating plain text reports that can be used in vxml files for automated phone calls

Thanks for the reply! I think that is overkill for what we're looking for. Or, at least, I hope it is.

I'm just looking for a way to deliver a plain text report via email. So, for example, instead of being wrapped in the SolarWinds Header and menu--which looks great in a full email client, but not so much on a small screen--the body of the email was simply

THINGS WE'RE REPORTING ON

THING ONE Happy

THING TWO In Warning State

THING THREE Broken

No formatting, no images, no nothing ...

Right now we have a klassik kludge in place--we take the SQL generated by SolarWInds, then pump it through a PowerShell script to generate and send the e-mail. I'd rather manage it all direclty through SolarWinds if at all possible.
