We are looking to change and tidy up our request types. But what would happen to the existing tickets if I delete a request type? Will they disappear?
Nope, they will just have a blank request type. The next time you go into the ticket, it won't let you save the ticket until you select a new request type.

You could uncheck visible to clients and make it "archived". Techs will still see it and its there for archive reasons but not for new end user tickets.
