From Sectigo!
Hello Jim,
Thank you for contacting Sectigo Technical Support !
Before proceeding, I would like to highlight an important consideration regarding key sizes.
While 2048-bit RSA keys are currently supported, they are no longer recommended for long-term deployments extending beyond 2030. Industry standards are gradually moving toward stronger cryptographic algorithms, and organizations are increasingly adopting 3072-bit or 4096-bit RSA keys to ensure long-term security and compliance.
Additionally, because your SSL subscription is a 6-year term order, Sectigo would generally not be able to issue certificates using a 2048-bit RSA key throughout the full duration of the subscription. To ensure continued compatibility and compliance over the lifetime of the order, we recommend generating a CSR using a 3072-bit or 4096-bit RSA key instead.
That said, I have reviewed your previous case history, including Case #03633820 and Case #04068275. Based on the circumstances and as a exception, I will assist you with submitting a CSR generated using a 2048-bit RSA key on your existing order.
