Add Stockroom & Inventory Management Functionality to Service Desk Request

We would like to request enhanced inventory management capabilities within SolarWinds Service Desk, specifically the ability to incorporate stockroom functionality directly into service requests. This would allow organizations to better track, manage, and replenish inventory tied to request fulfillment.

Problem Statement:
Currently, Service Desk lacks native tools to maintain accurate inventory counts or automate stock tracking when fulfilling requests. This creates manual overhead, increases the risk of inventory discrepancies, and makes it difficult to proactively manage supply levels.

Proposed Solution:
Introduce a stockroom/inventory management feature integrated with service requests, including:

• Stockroom Management
  • Define and manage multiple stockroom locations
  • Track inventory quantities by item and location
• Inventory Tracking in Requests
  • Allow assets or consumables to be allocated/deducted automatically when fulfilling a service request
  • Real-time updates to inventory counts
• Reorder Point Functionality
  • Ability to set minimum stock thresholds (reorder points)
  • Automated alerts/notifications when stock reaches defined thresholds
• Reporting & Visibility
  • Inventory usage reports tied to service requests
  • Dashboard visibility into stock levels and trends
