Currently the 'device view' feature is only available on Cisco 2960s and 3750s. Adding support for modern Catalyst switchstacks like 9200r or others would be immensely useful and would make the feature current.
Device View should be made to work for any switch from any vendor that has LLDP enabled, and if SNMPv3 is enabled should show metrics as well.
