It would greatly improve efficiency if the ability to clear out text and date custom fields through bulk action was added to WHD.
Currently, the only way to clear out text custom fields is to replace them with a "Space" or a period. The issue with this is the fact that it looks unappealing when searching through assets and the need of having to clear the space or period before entering in the new text during updating. As of right now, there is no way to clear out a date-assigned custom field through bulk action.
At our company, we have a date custom field that is named ship date. Basically used for when assets are shipped out we place that date in that field. However, when an asset comes back to us we need to clear that date out to show that we've received it. Meaning in order to update all assets we receive throughout the day we need to go in and manually clear the date of each one. Instead of using a bulk action.
