Currently runbooks are created in the settings area of the Service Desk. This means that I would need to give my agents access into the Settings portion of the platform, and the entire "Service Desk" section, in order to let them create and edit Runbooks. With the way permissions are currently, I can't even just give them access to this "Runbooks" item without giving them the entire "Service Desk" section.
This makes absolutely no sense. Agents can create Solutions and Service Catalog Items, but not Runbooks? These should be another entry under the "Service Desk" tab on the left side of the screen - like Solutions are. This would allow agents to create and edit these runbooks. Also, it would allow permissions around these runbooks. Who can create them, who can edit them, who can use them, etc.
In its current form this is almost completely useless to us. I want to give my agents access to create and edit runbooks, but not to create and edit categories (for example.) The agents are the ones who know these processes the best, they should be the ones creating and editing them.
