Upload Computers to Inventory

It would be great to be able to upload a CSV to the Computers inventory before they are deployed or even imaged. We have "stock" of laptops for deployment, but wont be imaged until they are deployed. So it would be great to upload them into the system, in a not operational state, so we can start the procurement process. Then once they are deployed the Agent gets installed and references the Serial number to update the record.

I have this same issue with wanting to upload a CSV of some of the broken laptops we have that are awaiting repairs, I do not want to enter them all manually?

I agree with this request. Much easier and faster to use a bar code scanner to populate a spreadsheet/notepad and then do the upload.

I saw that this is a new feature. We are new to the tool. How do you handle the record getting reconciled to the correct name once the agent is deployed to it. Since you cannot change the username after the record is created, will it still do it behind the scenes?
