We have several locations that have unique catalog items, but are similar in title. To get around this now, I have to create a duplicate catalog item and preface the name with the SITE name so they don't pick up the wrong one.
When creating a catalog item, the top section allows you to create a site selection. If this would then force the portal to only show that catalog item for those logged in at that same site, would be great.
