Automatic start of WHD services when VM reboots?

Forgive what may be a stupid question, but I am as green as the "NEW" icon here.

My partner recently departed without leaving any documentation whatsoever, and management didn't seem to care that he was departing either. I have now absorbed all thirty years of his responsibilities. The problem is, I was the Windows and VMware administrator, the union allowed him to continue working in a silo.

We have a Web Help Desk virtual machine running just fine. The problem is, if it reboots, the WHD service doesn't start automatically. This is all new to me, I don't know where to begin. I haven't found the exact answer for it. Is this something I can do within an existing configuration file, or does it require a script that is set to run upon reboot?

Thank you for any assistance you can offer here. It will save me so many headaches.

The KB article supplied by @donrobert5 is good but if it does not answer your question then please supply the OS type the WHD is installed upon, it will help isolate any variation that might be present.

It is CentOS 7 they are running. Thank you very much, yeah, I had what you sent and I actively use it, but you're right. It doesn't help with automatically starting the services. Someone told me it used to, but during some upgrade it stopped.

Usually controlled via /etc/init.d calling the /usr/local/webhelpdesk/whd.sh start script. There are other ways of doing it in CentOS like crontab see https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/148754/how-to-start-application-after-login-on-centos

Unfortunately, I am not allowed to reboot the ticketing server midday, but I will see if it works tonight. If it does, I will be happy to share what I have to accomplish this task. Thanks @pabely for the assist!
