First off, do you manage routers with UDT? I haven't read that one should, or shouldn't. But it does't make senses to me to do so. Second, when I select a group of Nodes in UDT Advance Setting for Port Management, I show Nodes, filter to UDT Monitored Nodes, Select Nodes to unmanage, and click Unmanage. Nothing happens.…
We have recently implemented Rogue alerts in UDT. This is notifying us of items showing up as Rogue devices, those that are not in our approved MAC address white list. The only problem is it seems like we keep getting Rogue Alerts for devices that are already in our whitelist. For example, we've been installing new…
I've done this before, but it's quite a time since I've done it last time. So, I'm noticing that I'm monitoring two switch ports with NPM (uplinks only) and UDT is monitoring those ports too, but not anything else on that switch. With other switches there is same situation, just some of the ports are monitored by NPM, but…
Hello I have a question... I am currently running an Extreme Campus Fabric network, I am utilizing mostly ERS4850 switches with 3 ERS4950. I currently can pull port information from the 4900, for example, devices plugged in MAC, IP addresses, VLAN etc etc. However I am not getting the same information from the ERS4800…
UDT seems to stop monitoring ports at random and we can't figure out why. I have re-managed the entire network infrastructure on several occasions, and then come back a couple weeks later to find that most of the ports in the network are not being monitored. Any thoughts?
Hey all, I'll start off by saying I'm quite the Solarwinds novice... I was wondering if there was a way to import a csv or list a series of MAC addresses and run a report showing where those MACs show up on the network? Basically looking to return switch/port information. I know this can be accomplished via Device Tracker…
I recently searched for a MAC in the device tracker. It showed to be on the correct switch port, but then also showed to be active on another port it was removed from weeks ago...as if old info was cached. Any ideas why it would be doing this? Thanks!
Thought of sharing this query which helps in identifying the status of UDT polling jobs which have failed. Got this from petersent. So just reporsting it so that others can also know about. use NetPerfMon; select b.nodeid,b.engineid,c.ServerName,COUNT(*) numberOfFailures from udt_job a,nodes b,Engines c where…
Does UDT have the ability to monitor, collect, and store syslogs and have the ability to monitor services for errors and report when certain conditions are met?
I have Infoblox for DHCP/IPAM/DNS services, and I see there's a new module available that can discover and auto populate information showing the switch/blade/port for every device by MAC address and IP address. That's exactly what my organization needs for expanding our CMDB. But I see Solarwinds UDT seems to also be able…
