UDT stops monitoring ports at random

UDT seems to stop monitoring ports at random and we can't figure out why. I have re-managed the entire network infrastructure on several occasions, and then come back a couple weeks later to find that most of the ports in the network are not being monitored. Any thoughts?

How many ports are you licensed for? Is it a case of trying to monitor more ports than your license allows?

No that's not it, I have a license for 5000 ports and I am monitoring about 3800.

Then I'm not sure. Are you on the latest version? If not, try that first. Next would be to log a support call for the issue.

What version of UDT are you on? We seem to be experiencing the same thing...

Yeah I'm on version 3.3.0. Not sure about the HotFix, I'll have to check

No, I'm still having this issue. Unfortunately, I'm stomping out other fires at the time, and this is on a back burner.

I don't know if this will help you, but this has happened once to us since moving to 3.3 - and the correlating factor I saw was that the switches that lost their port monitoring in UDT were in a facility that suffered an extended power outage - say three or four days.

When the switches powered back up, the ports were missing from UDT. I haven't had time to track down why, but perhaps it's of interest.

Ours didn't have anything to do with a power issue. We did have a network disruption but for minutes not days.

Try re-running the online installer so that it will detect any missing Hotfixes.

I have case # 00137100 (raised 5th July) open for this. Support have also seen the same issue on their test environment. Devs are looking into the issue.

UDT for me has not been working correctly for me since version 3.3.0. I have had quite a few cases open.

You would need to raise you own case and reference my case number.

I have been told that a fix may be available sometime next week. Hopefully this will fix your issue too.
