SCP/SFTP Server - specify upload path

Can you do firmware upgrades with an .SPA file (for Cisco ASA firewalls)?
Hi, we are looking to use NCM to upgrade our Cisco ASA 1010 firewalls. I noticed however that the firmware repository is not seeing .SPA files (only BIN files). Is there anyway to use SPA files when doing firmware upgrades? Thanks.
