To ensure that the MIBs are compatible with Solarwinds network monitoring software you need to utilize the MIBs from the SW database, assuming you have current maintenance, you may download these in the customer portal.

The MainTaskDataReader event is just informing you that a DB timeout has occurred. This could happen for many reasons and should not be a concern unless the application is not performing as expected. One suggestion would be to try changing the Collation order from case sensitive to case insensitive in the SQL Manager

In the past, we have seen this when connecting to a Polling Engine on a remote server with the System Manager open on the local server. Not sure if yours is remote or not? This error is due to DCOM settings on the server.

Is Netflow enabled on your devices? Can you run a test with host name and community string successfully? You may want to try adding the device by IP Address rather than DNS name and see if this helps. If not, you might want to hold from looking at that device. Let us know how it goes-
