Not sure if there was a resolution for them, but just a note in case it helps someone: TL;DR: you have to be inside the reservation time window to see the check in/out buttons. --------------------------------- If i make a reservation for an asset, and the Scheduled Out time has not been met yet, i will not see any icons…

Side note: if your cert on your WSUS server DID change, all previous updates that were published with the OLD cert aren't valid any longer; you would need to either delete them off the WSUS server (if they are no longer needed) or republish them with the option to "re-sign existing selected packages" checked in the…

I do see that some people use a wildcard cert (https using a wildcart certificate ) for their WHD environment, so i don't see why you couldn't for your virtual appliance install of WHD.
-
not of which i'm aware
-
I've uploaded a SQL query you can use with PostgreSQL's pgadmin3 utility to pull that list: WHD-RequestTypeList.sql

No, I don't as I don't have direct involvement with the patching/content team; i just sometimes pop back in here to help with queries, etc... I did, however, see something about the catalog being updated on Friday; the issue with revised packages should be resolved. If you continue to see it ping me back here (and/or open…

For the checklist part of it: You may wish to create a special "Request Type" (category) for the types of tickets you need this for. Example: Office Cleaning If desired you can also make Ticket Custom Fields which could be Text Boxes, drop-down lists, or multi-select buttons Example: Custom field (multi-select) with 3…

interesting! wasn't aware that also applied for this use. thanks!

You may want to open a Tech Support ticket on that problem but here's a couple of info points and a couple of things to check: If you're talking about the view under Tickets -> Group Tickets or Tickets -> My Tickets, then yes those should be refreshing (by default) every 5 minutes. Are you seeing that behavior with…
-
No, there is not an option to hide it. Hmmm.. it might be possible to do something where initially the request goes to a Tech Group with no Techs (so that no Techs get notified) and then you could create an Action Rule that says: * to only trigger if the condition was not true before * Condition: when Status is Approved…
-
You can create a Task (under setup - tickets -tasks) to generate one or more tickets whenever the Task is executed. If a tech goes in and manually runs a task, it will generate those tickets that you have defined in the task. You can also create an Action Rule to watch for some condition and then take some action when that…
-
If i understand you correctly, you want to have someone submit a ticket and have an Approval Process tied to that ticket, but not let anybody add Notes or otherwise Edit the ticket until the designated Approver(s) approve it. Unfortunately i don't think that is possible. You can restrict Techs from editing Notes, but that…

Just noting that this custom package was originally uploaded here by jbaits as a response to another thread which was talking about building a package for this. (Thanks, jbaits!) After this was posted here, SolarWinds did make a package for this and added it to the "Microsoft Corporation Packages" section of the Patch…

if you select a couple of those there should be an option to "Group" which will put them together into a sub group

SolarWinds doesn't track the upgrade versions of Adobe Reader & Adobe Acrobat on this page because those packages aren't created by SolarWinds - they come directly from Adobe. Visually, in the Software Publishing folder list section of Patch Manager, when it comes to Adobe stuff it is not super-intuitive on what folder…

RE: the Adobe Flash package(s): Try synchronizing (under Software Publishing) again now; the packages should have been updated.
-
Heh... I stand corrected - when i go back and review the sync details in Software Publishing, the sync i got on 7/28 did include 7-Zip 9.20. I'm not sure (yet) if that was a one-off thing or if it will become a regularly supported application.
-
7-Zip isn't a provided package from SolarWinds; perhaps someone in your org made that 9.20 package as a custom package at some point?
-
SolarWinds will sometimes release Full installation packages for Adobe Reader but typically that is not for every minor version. You are correct that it has been a while since the last Full install version was added to the catalog - that was 11.0.10.32 on 12/9/2014. You won't find any Reader update packages in the Adobe…
-
It is unlikely that SolarWinds will respond with a definite release date/time as it must be created and tested, but historically this happens fairly quickly; here are the last few: 46.0.2490.86 Released by vendor: 11/10/2015 Added to Patch Manager Catalog: 11/11/2015 46.0.2490.80 Released by vendor: 10/22/2015 Added to…

jeffashizawa wrote: Is there a similar table of HP Business Clients Packages? Specifically, I'm looking for the status of HP Notebook System BIOS updates. Not really; SolarWinds doesn't provide that view as the HP catalogs are made/updated by HP and not SolarWinds. This is the list of the third-party catalogs to which…

hdwrguy, i'll send you a direct message, but essentially: you have to specify the versions you want to remove yourself; it won't list them for you. (they do that for Java but not other apps)
-
As far as I am aware, nothing's changed in that regard. I've heard tell of some people running it in such environments as AWS or Azure with some success, but it seems it would still be unsupported in such an environment.

LEM 6.4.0 is out today with the updates that jhynds mentioned (Debian OS update, removal of 2TB limit, improved SMB support, and they made the first step away from Flash with the HTML5 Event Viewer console)

Another option here would be to put an extra Patch Manager Automation Server Role on a machine in the DMZ. You would then set up a rule in Patch Manager to tell the system to use that new automation server when targeting tasks to machines in the DMZ subnet. It would do so over one port (4092) and then local to the DMZ, the…

If you're evaluating a product, I'm certain your sales rep can nab an SE for a tech demo if you'd like one. There is a decent chance that the nabbed SE will be me (though there are a few other SEs that know the product; it largely depends on what's open on the schedules).
-
To be clear: Patch Manager can fire off patches on a schedule. That can be done for a specific set of updates or it could target a wider range of patches ("all needed approved updates" for example); both of those options can be targeted to a machine or a group and scheduled immediately or for a specific time, recurring or…

Just saw this, so thought i'd mention: Patch Manager 2.1.4 was released last week Patch Manager Release Notes for version 2.1.4 - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support

VMWare Tools was added as a supported app; the other two are still feature requests.

It is not currently possible to link one custom field to another or make one appear based on the selection made in a different custom field. You also can't determine whether a custom field is required based on the chosen selection of another custom field. The way it is typically handled is by defining/Nesting the Request…
